Chad: Maturing every day. Chad is becoming quite the young man. You never know what he is going to say.
This morning he came into our bedroom and saw me holding Cole.
Chad: What's the little feller doing?
Mommy: Where did you hear that?
Chad: Papa.
Chad's favorite saying is "that's the rules" or "I didn't do it" when asked to pick up something. He also informed me, "I have an active imagination." Still haven't figured out where he heard that one. Chad can write all of his uppercase letters now with just the starting and ending points given. He knows almost all of his uppercase letters by name and phonetic sound. Since we will be holding him back next year, he still has two years until Kindergarten. Chad loves to sings and most time is singing a song he knows or one he made up.
Kaylee: A week ago Saturday, Kaylee woke up and asked me to give her big girl underwear and that she wanted to go in the big girl potty. This is not what I planned on doing for the next few weeks but if she was interested, we would run with it. She is doing pretty well for the first week. I read somewhere that it may take up to 6 months for a child to really, truly be potty trained. I sure hope it doesn't take that long! We have spent a lot of time asking God to help Kaylee go potty in the big girl potty. Kaylee is working on her colors and pretends to spell things now as well.
Kaylee's favorite saying is "oh man! hmmmmm" or "I won't" when told not to go potty in her big girl underwear.
Cole: Roll, roll, roll. Cole rolls in circles. He doesn't come close to staying on his blanket. His sitting up is getting stronger everyday. It won't be too long! Cole loves to be talked to and smiles at anyone or thing that gives him a little attention. He continues to be an extremely happy baby whom we all adore.
