January Update

Cason:  I have decided that I would like to potty train but Mommy isn't jumping on board.  I stay dry most days, when Mommy remembers to take me potty!  Mr. Sensitive is my new name.  The emotions run high when I see something sad, scary, or I get my feelings hurt.  I got very upset a few days ago when I say the main character in a popular cartoon in trouble.  I love to read my Bible and play with blocks.  I show Mommy and then Daddy everything that I make.  More words are coming to my vocabulary about every day.  There are still a few that I refuse to say.

Cole:  Fighting the bad guys continues to be my main activity.  Between my four toy guns that I got for Christmas, my jumping frog or kangaroo, my shield, the light saver, and yellow googles, I am one protective boy!  My favorite outfit consists of my swimming shorts and shirt.  In this outfit I can go underwater and fight Star Wars people.  I still want to be an "underwater guy" when I grow up.  Often times I can be heard saying, "I have a bad feeling about this!"  While out with supper with some friends, I was told that we were waiting so long for our food because the cook had to go all of the way to Mexico to get my food.  Mommy exampled where Mexico was in relation to where we are on the map.  I came up with this conclusion on my own, "So, it is close in distance on the map but it would be a really long way on the roads."  Cason calls me "Cole-Cole."  I didn't like it at all.  Then mom told me that that is his nickname for me just like I call Kaylee
"Kuluh."  I immediately called him Cason-Cason and now I like my nickname!

Kaylee:  If I am not at school, I am teaching school at home.  My calendar is filled with "T's."  These are the days that I am teaching.  The library book that I chose at school last week was How to be a Teacher.  I love to write notes to my friends and my family.  Of course my name is a major part of my writing and crafts.  Today is the 100th day of school and I dressed like a 100 year old lady.  My hair is in a bun (although the pictures don't show it.)

Chad:  I finished the 2nd nine weeks on grade level in every objective but one.  This is a huge jump for me and we are celebrating.  I also have met my AR reading goal both nine weeks.  One of the few kids in my class to do this.  School and therapy tends to take much of my time but I enjoy building with Legos and reading.

January

The kids had fun making this Rice Crispy treat train while at Grams and Papa's house for Christmas.

Aunt Karla made this jumper for Kaylee.  She LOVES it!

Hodge-Podge:

When Kaylee gets out of the van each morning for school, Cole tells her, "Have a great day being six!"
