Below are the last of the Easter pictures (now that it is almost May!). The kids had so much fun at the three Easter Egg Hunts. Once Cole figured out what to do, we couldn't get him to pick up the egg and move to another one. He wanted to open each one as they were picked up.
Chad: Registration occurred for Kindergarten yesterday. He told the secretary (who was my secretary when I taught) that he wanted to start school today. He is so excited but filled with questions. I am going to the school tomorrow to talk to the principal and give her a heads up on his past. The cardiologist told us that we don't need to tell the school anything about his "situation" as he is supposed to be treated like a normal kid. Makes answering those "past health issue" questions a little hard. Chad has started t-ball. Last Friday was his first practice. We were concerned but after we saw a kid hit the ball and run to 3rd, I relaxed a little bit. At this age it isn't so much about ability as which Dad has worked with their child the most. Kudos to Michael.
Kaylee: Mother Kaylee is cracking us up right now. She is either explaining proper behavior to Chad or being an example of how not to behave. On Saturday night after church, we went out to eat with some friends. One the way to the restaurant we were talking about expectations for behavior. Chad was arguing. No need for Mom and Dad. Kaylee took over and explained how it was going to be! Oh my!
Cole: He continues to sing his "Red and Yellow, Black and White" song and added the "Clean Up" song yesterday. This is a song they sing at church. Just out of the blue he started singing "clean up..." while he and I picked up toys. His favorite phrases are "I like it" and "I hold it." As we drive down the road, he will see something and say, "I LIKE it!"
Daddy: The bike went to the shop and is out for riding again. Michael rides on his lunch break some days, in the evenings, before breakfast - basically whenever he can get away. The mowing has started again so he finds himself trying to juggle that into his schedule. Daddy planted the grass seed this weekend. Hopefully we can get the grass back in the front yard after the addition.
Mommy: Garden is planted. Weeding never stops. Flower beds are looking okay although they always need some loving. The apple tree was beautifully bloomed and we pray that it will produce lots of apples for us this fall. I enjoyed a weekend away 1 1/2 weeks go for a Ladies Leadership Retreat with our church. A friend and I went together and had a wonderful time. I am so thankful that our church sees the need to provide these retreats, especially for the leaders.
Think that about brings you up to date!!
