The last two months have flown by like a whirlwind desperate to suck us in.
May: Chad and Kaylee finished school. It was a little harder because they had to stay goodbye to their teachers, some of their friends, and the school building for good. This fall they will begin in a brand new building. They each had a great year.
Chad enjoyed 2nd grade and finished on grade level in every area. He made massive gains in reading this year and continues to love math.
Kaylee received the coveted "Tucker Titan" Award. Her teacher wrote and read a beautiful essay about Kaylee's strong academics, leadership skills, and trustworthiness. As a first year teacher, Mrs. K relied heavily on her. Almost immediately she was placed by the "struggling" behavior kids to help guide their way. She also took kids to the office and nurse weekly.
June: We began our summer break with a slew of doctors appointments. Most importantly was the neuropyschologist appointment Chad had. Without going into much detail, we learned some vital information and also gained a path to help him be able to remember, focus, and learn. The neuropysch gave us a long list of modifications at school that, we pray, will ease the learning.
Therapy and TaeKwonDo - praise God - meet at the same time within a couple of miles from each other. Chad loves Miss W and Cole is learning to say "Yes, sir" at each request.
Grams spent a week with us followed by Michael's week away on business. A week later, Mommy and Daddy went on vacation with our group of friends.
And now
July is here. We look forward to some fun family times ahead!
