Cason is Nice

Cason's adamant comment this morning while playing Monopoly and landing on the "Go to Jail" square.

"I not go to jail.  Won't go.  I nice."

And he had to be threatened to leave the game before he would put his piece on the jail square.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at the farm.  We got to see several family members and spend lots of time with my brother, sister-in-law, and favorite niece.  Love watching Kenzie and the kids play together.  Precious.

We enjoyed a walk down to the falls and through the timber as the weather ended the week on a gorgeous note.

Cason:  I have begun asking "why" to everything.  As soon as I receive an answer, I say, "oh."  I have decided that I can't do many things on my own.  I need lots of help.  This method isn't working well but I am determined to stay strong.

Happy Birthday Cason!!

I am three today!  I told Mommy that I would stay two but decided three is much better.  I continue to be a very obedient, happy, fun little boy.  I love my siblings but can hold my own.  I love to help mommy and grab my little yellow chair as soon as I see her cooking something.

Wedding

We ended our trip to California with the wedding.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and the vineyard was gorgeous.

Kaylee did a wonderful job as the flower girl and she felt like a princess.

Mother/Son dance.  The wedding dance will always be the most memorable part of the wedding because Kaylee feel asleep and Chad danced the night away.  For those of you familiar with our story, you know what an incredible blessing it was to see Chad so happy.  To see him get away from all of the therapy and work that he has non-stop and be a little boy.  People commented all night about his dancing and fast feet work.  It truly was a "kiss" from God to have this trip with Chad.

We had a wonderful trip and it will always fall into the "best vacations" category.

Beach Time

Before the wedding, we headed to Bodega Bay to see the beach.  It was fun seeing the places Michael and I had walked with Uncle Keith and Aunt Elaine just 14 years ago.

This was the first time the kids had seen the ocean or a beach.  Chad had a little anxiety but soon decided it was a fun thing.  The water was freezing cold!  Kaylee loves the sand and water.  She would have stayed all day.

He worked on his dance moves for that night's wedding dance.  The morning was perfect with no fog and beautiful sun.

After the beach we drove along Highway 1 and stopped a couple of places.  We also got to see the 1000's of bikers riding in the Levi Leipheimer GranFondo.  It was hard for Daddy to not to want to jump ship and grab a bike!

A Day Amongst Tall Trees

On our 2nd day in Cali, we drove to Armstrong Forest to see the Redwood trees.  The trees are absolutely amazing but hard to truly appreciate because of their towering height.

The cousin crawling on a large redwood.

We drove a one-lane trail that took us to the top of a mountain.  The view was wonderful.  The poorly maintained one-lane road made of some interesting memories.

We rented a van for our travels.  The kids enjoyed the time with their grandparents.

Chad being Chad!

Standing in front of the oldest tree in the Armstrong Forest.

On the way home we stopped at Korbel Winery.  Michael and I had been here 14 years prior with Uncle Keith and Aunt Elaine.  I remember the gorgeous landscaping.  We ate their for a fun lunch at the deli.

That afternoon was the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner that evening.  Kaylee and Marek were the flower girl and ring bearer.

Day in San Fran

Our first day in California was spent in San Francisco.  We started with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Next we went to the Fisher's Wharf where we ate at In-N-Out Burger.  Then we headed to the Trolley next.

It was really neat to see the cables that run the trolleys at the Trolley Museum.

After seeing the seals at Pier 39 we went for our 2nd trolley ride.  We ended up walking up the hill to see cars travel down the famous Lombard Street.

The Trolley ride was a hit.

Our Pretty Flower Girl

Uncle Marc and Aunt Kuan asked Kaylee to be the flower girl in their wedding last weekend.  She couldn't have been more excited.  A fancy dress, flowers, a pretty headband - she was super excited.

She did a great job and spent the days before the wedding practicing for the plethora of pictures that she would be in.

After all of the pictures, the wedding, the appetizers, meal, toasts, and first dance, our little princess couldn't take anymore.  I pulled two chairs together in the reception hall and she slept the night away, not to be bothered by the music, lights, and flash of the photographer.

Tae Kwon Do

For quite some time we have heard people talk about the help that Tae Kwon Do has been for their ADHD kiddos.  After a couple different therapies, allergy shots, removal of tonsils, and other attempts haven't been successful, we decided to look into it for Cole.

When we learned that a studio was just down the street from Chad's therapy and at the same time, we decided to give it a try.  While it hasn't solved all of our problem, Mommy has learned some techniques to use at home which have definitely stopped our downward spiral.  In the next few weeks, I will sharing what we have learned on my other blog.

Cole is super excited that he earned his yellow belt but is really impressed that he can almost do the splits.  He is convinced that he can teach mom!  (If he only knew his mother's lack of athletic ability!)

1st Day of School

New school, new teachers, new grades, new excitement!

Poor Kaylee!
