Cason - The rumors are all true. I am still not walking. Not because I can't. I don't want to. Actually I was mad last night and walked to Mommy. But since I was mad, I might not do that again for a while to show them who is boss. I have discovered my mouth makes some really cool sounds. I can move my tongue rapidly on my teeth to make a really cool sound when prompted to. But after I smile really big I sometimes forget how I did it and have to finagle my tongue around to get it to work again. I blow kisses by placing my index finger in my mouth and smacking. But I love to give real kisses from cheek to cheek. (They usually involve my tongue and sometimes my teeth.) I continue to cover up my ears for peekaboo and wrinkle up my nose for silly grins. I don't like things open or out. I put toys away very well but reek havoc on Mommy's kitchen cabinets leaving a road of dishes along my path. Music is so much fun. I dance and sing. A couple of evenings ago, I had a sing off with Daddy during a diaper change. Daddy sang and then I echoed. Mommy was so proud. I love to mimic what I hear. I also can climb onto my riding horse and in and out of boxes and tubs.

Cole - Fireman, Knight, or Carpenter...I am here to rescue you. Please understand that as a carpenter I have a handicap because carrying 20 tools really weighs me down. But the bouncy frog or kangaroo with my knight gear really makes Mommy feel safe. Mommy always tells me that I am her favorite Little Man. I tell her that she is my favorite Little Mommy. I also say, "Even thought you [discipline] me, I still love you." Mommy answers back, "Even when you make bad choices, I still love you." My wooden train sets are my favorite inside toy with my bike being my favorite outside toy. I am doing great on my big bike and rarely wreck now.
Kaylee - Friday morning I greeted Mommy fully dressed and with my backpack on. I like to wear my backpack around the house, checking my school supplies periodically. At recess time for Mother's Day Out, I saw Cole and told him, "I will see you after church. You make good choices." I have become quite the mother to my three brothers. I am definitely growing up as I no longer want a nightlight at night. I have even gone a few nights without Ducky. [This is really big!] Biking is going great. I ride up and down the lane and in the grass. I help Mommy on her curriculum by creating crafts. I have come up with some great ideas! Fashion is another hot topic for me. Since Mommy is lacking in this area, I have taken it upon myself to help her out. I have even had to tell her, "People will say that that girl is not very cute.". And Mommy changes her outfit.

Chad - Soccer is my favorite sport right now. We play it at recess. I practice at home too, kicking the ball up and down the front yard. I still enjoy school and like my teacher a lot. My reading has really improved the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I have decided that I am a bad reader and this isn't helping progress. I know that I am a wiz at math and continue to excell at the 1st grade algebra that they throw at us. I am working on checking my work for errors. At the next 4H meeting we are giving our demonstration talks. I am going to talk about the food pyramid/plate. I already asked my PE teacher to use a poster.
Michael - With added responsibility at work, Michael continues to work many hours a day. We miss not having him come home for lunch. He is preparing for a work trip that has really taken him out of his comfort zone. But we figure that this is a great place for God to show up in a big way. Biking season is right around the corner and he can taste it. He is already looking at a few big races, most of which he doesn't share with me until they are closer to actually happening. As a family we are looking forward to taking several bike trips as the weather warms up.
Heidi - Same ole same ole here. Desperately trying to keep family, home, and work in balance yet all running smoothly. Training and discipline has been rather exhausting lately but praise God that the weather has been nice so the kids can get in as much sensory play as possible. I am doing a Bible study on grace right now. I am learning about the grace that God gives me, learning to give myself grace and those around me as well. This is a hard concept for a devout perfectionist. I am so thankful that I have those around me who encourage me to keep reaching for the goal.
