Cason's 4 Month Stats

Today was Cason's 4 Month checkup.  He is closer to 4 1/2 months than 4 but because of Spring Break, I couldn't get him in sooner.  The doctor was really surprised that he has rolled over already since he is such a happy baby.  She figured he was so entertained that he didn't see a need to move!

Cason loves his exersaucer.  I think it has a lot to do with the acid reflux and he doesn't spit up as much.  He continues to be extremely happy and doesn't fuss unless something is wrong - tired or hungry.  We love those smiles and giggles!

Length - 26 3/4" - 95th percentile

Weight - 14 lbs 13 oz - 50th percentile

Head - 17" - 75th percentile

Just because I am into numbers. Each child at 4 months (Chad at 4 3/4" months):

Chad - 14 lbs  11 oz
Kaylee -  15 lbs 5 oz
Cole - 16 lbs
Cason -  14 lbs 13 oz

Chad - 26 3/4"
Kaylee - 26"
Cole - 27 3/4"
Cason - 26 3/4"

Chad - 16 3/4"
Kaylee - 16 1/2"
Cole - 16 1/4"
Cason - 17"

I look back and see that Cole was ahead so much, even as a baby.  Cole held his head up so much earlier.  It is hard to imagine Cason crawling in one month which is when Cole started.  But Cole's size was definitely to his advantage.

Cason - 4 Months Pictures

Here are Cason's 4 Month pictures.  I can't decide which one I like best so I put several of them on.

Taylor's Christmas Present

Our kids are so blessed to have Taylor a part of their lives.  Like a little brother to me, Taylor has become an uncle to the kids.  Since Chad was really young, Taylor would find toys and items for the kids at garage sales.  Most of the "cool" toys that the kids have are ones Taylor has found!

For Christmas Taylor got the kids a "Real Construction" Kids Cabin.  Since the box was too big for the van, we had to wait until Grams and Papa came down in the truck to get it here.  After their visit this weekend, we put it together.  Chad had to screw in screws and do some cutting with a saw.  Great learning.  They have had so much spending time in their cabin.  Thanks, Tay!

Red Letter Day

Yesterday was a big day for our family.  Chad did his first demonstration talk at 4-H on handwashing.  He did such a great job.  On the way, he told me that he was really nervous so we prayed together that God would bless him for all of his hard work.  Afterwards he said, "I feel so much better now!"

I don't put Cason on his tummy much because he spits up every few moments.  But yesterday I tried it.  He pushed his head up high and I knew he was going to roll over.  Of course I didn't get the camera in time!  But, we are still excited for his accomplishment.

Sunday night Chad walked into our room saying, "Cole is driving the sane out of me."  Sometimes that is quote for all of us!

We are looking forward to some wonderful weather the rest of the week.  Getting the garden in too!

Mid-March

Since January 1st, it has been a crazy year.  Between snow and sickness, we haven't had a normal week yet.  Right now we have a mixture of ear infection-pink eye-strep-cold-cough-bronchitus-possible RSV yuck!

I finally took the younger kids to the doctor.  We are on the mends but it has taken it out of us.

Amongst this, I am frantically working to meet the demands of ABCJLM.  I decided to make some changes to the 4 Year Curriculum and orders are coming in for the "new" one that isn't done yet.  I didn't realize it was going to be this big of deal.  Please pray that I can quickly finish this project.

At the doctor:

Cole - 35 lbs
Cason - 13 lbs 13 oz

Happy March

What a year.  I feel like we are finally getting into a routine with Chad's 2nd full week of school since the first week in January.  We will just get going again and then have Spring Break to mess everything up again.

Michael attended a men's retreat a couple of weekends back. Since Chad was supposed to have the Friday off from school, we decided to make it a long weekend at Grams and Papa's. It was weird and sad not having Daddy with us but we enjoyed the time at the farm and with family.

Cason - I am growing like a weed.  I smile a lot and am really giggling.  Mommy says that I am an excellent baby and very content.  Most of my awake time is spent watching my siblings play while I kick and box my arms.  Very entertaining.

Yes, Aunt Connie.  These are Aunt Tara's roller skates...

He saw his brother get up and ask for a picture and so Cole had to follow!
