Goodbye May

Here is an update as we say goodbye to May!

Cason:  When people see me they stop whatever they are doing and comment on how happy I am.  My smile melts the hardest hearts.  My whole family is thankful for the joy I bring to our family.  On Saturday I got onto my knees and attempted to crawl forward but quickly fell.  Then two days later, I got on all fours and rocked.  Chad got very excited when he saw me.  I scoot backwards very well and can get where I want to go with the use of my feet, arms, and forehead.  I am finally feeling better after a yucky bout of RSV and a double ear infection.

Cole:  Life is never boring with me around.  I am excited for my 3rd birthday coming up although I have told people that I am 3 for almost a year now.  Unsure of what I will say when I am actually three.  Allergies have hit me hard this spring but meds have helped.  I continue to love reading and playing with my toys.

Kaylee:  Teaching and taking care of my kids is becoming more and more demanding.  I have two sets of twins.  The oldest set is a seven year old boy and girl.  Then there is a one-year old set of twins.  Another girl, Sophia, is in the middle.  My husband, Mark, keeps me busy with his phone calls.

Chad:  I am very excited to get summer started but don't mind the fact that I still have five more days of school.  Yesterday I played in the pool while it was filling.  I had a blast getting the swim toys out, jump, and dancing around in the water.  Mommy has made me her garden helper.  I also tend to my 4-H zucchini plants.  If I can keep the animals away from my leaves they would do better.  Baseball is going well.  I typically play catcher or right-field.  After all the news about the Joplin F-5 tornado, I have felt a burden for the people there.  I am making plans to raise money for them and am going to present the idea to my 4-H club.

Parents:  Michael is preparing for another 100 mile ride.  Since it isn't local, he will be traveling for this one.  Mommy is working on creating a 2 and 5 Year curriculum for her website.  The kids have been helping me on this.  Since the rain has finally stopped and it has warmed up, we have been working on getting outside projects finished.  Yesterday we finished staining the swingset and filling the pool.  The garden is looking good.  Few more projects left!

Fishing With Papa

Cole:  I have asked every day for a 3 months (literally) if I can go fishing with Papa.  Every time that we Skype Papa or talk to him on the phone, I immediately ask if I can go fishing with him.  I finally got to.  It was so much fun.  We caught approx 40 fish.  I got to reel the fish in by myself.

And just for kicks - Here is Mommy and Papa fishing...

Chad's Ball

Chad is playing coach pitch ball now. He is loving it. We have had several games rained out. I know we are his parents but he truly is one of the best hitters on the team. The ball goes to the fence almost every time!

Kaylee and Her Papa

When Papa and Grams came down for Easter, Papa gave me this heart necklace.  He picked it out for me because I asked Jesus into my heart.  I wear it all of the time.

Cason 6 Month Pictures

Monday was Cason's half birthday - 6 Months Old!!  The kids wanted to have a party for him with candles and fire (Cole's addition).  I couldn't get the pictures to load so this is a few days late.

I continue to be a very happy baby. I am very content to play and watch my siblings. I do not like to sit but or lay on my back and will roll over almost immediately. Sometimes I try to stay awake but my eyes just give in after several tries to keep them open. I am my parents' delight and bring smiles to everyone when I flash them one of my big ones.

Writing Our Christmas Letter

I have started writing our Christmas letter for 2011.  I will give you a taste:
Sick.  Merry Christmas.
Since New Years Eve, that has been our family.  One person at a time.  Almost everyone sick at other times.  Ear infection, pink eye, bronchitis, strep, and the list goes on and on.  Other than our well-child checkups, we typically visit the doctor once a year.  Not this year.  What is crazy is that Chad (the one in school) has been the healthiest!

Cason has been waking up in the middle of the night.  Yesterday he didn't want to be put down.  If you have been around Cason you know that he is an angel baby.  So, I made an appt with the doctor.  He is wheezing.  She asked if we have an nebulizer (which we don't) but just put him on an inhaler.  Ear infection.

I had her look at Cole because he has a snooty, yucky nose.  Allergies.  She looked at his ears and said, "Oh Baby!"  Bad ear infection.

Kaylee has been complaining about her ears off and on.  The doctor looked and asked Kaylee which ear hurt.  Kaylee said her left one.  Doctor said that she was right.  Ear infection.

That puts us at 75%!  Seriously!  I am so sick of this.  I would start taking it personally if other "healthy" families weren't in the same boat.

Here are the weights:
Cason 15 lbs, 15 oz
Cole 35 lbs
Kaylee 46 lbs

Cole

(For some reason this post didn't post when it was supposed to.  So, here it is 3 weeks late.  Pictures taken 4/11)

Mommy snagged these pictures on Monday while I was grounded to the inside after being unable to leave the water faucet alone.  For some reason every time I journey outside, I end up at the water faucet.  Thankfully Mommy and Daddy have not found a punishment grand enough to warrant me leaving it alone.  So, here I sit, watching my siblings playing outside.

I continue to up the antics at home.  Recently I discovered the microwave.  Did you know that sweet potato bread can look like charcoal when left in the microwave long enough?  It makes the house really stink too!
