Weighing In

Cason had a doctor's appt today.  It was confirmed that we are dealing with reflux issues like his sister.  Unfortunately, Cason is not a "happy spitter-upper" like Kaylee but instead in a lot of pain at times.  Makes for some tense times around home!

On that good side, Cason is gaining weight beautifully.  He is weighing in at 10 lbs 5 oz.  Quite a weight gain for a 5 week old.  Also reminds us of how incredibly skinny he was at birth because he definitely isn't fat!

The rest of the kids were weighed too:
Cole - 33 lbs
Kaylee - 43 lbs
Chad - We were hoping for 53 lbs just for kicks but he took his shoes off and was only 51 lbs.

Family Christmas

We had Christmas with Michael's family this weekend (minus Uncle Marc and Kuan).

Grandma made aprons for everyone!

Cason's 1 Month Pictures

Cason turned 1 month today.  Seriously...we are in denial.  Not sure where the past 30 days have gone!  Last night while at the Community Group Christmas party, he cooed for the first time...and Mommy wasn't even holding him.  Oh well.  It was adorable just the same.

Time with Friends

You don't have to hang with us for long before the names - Moss, Sammei, John ____, Nikki, and Jon - will come up.  These people are dear friends of ours and adopted Aunts and Uncles to our kids.  Instead of purchasing presents (that we don't need) for everyone, we take a day each December to spend time together and eat at nice restaurants.  It has become a wondeful tradition and we always have a blessed time.  We praise God for this group of people that we have been spending holidays, birthdays, and most Friday nights with for the last ten years (wow...has really been ten years???).

Cason and Uncle Moss

Thank you to Cindy and Brent who made this day possible by watching the three kiddos.  We couldn't have left them in better hands!

Daddy with His Kiddos

My children are incredibly blessed...they have an amazing father.   I listen to other women talk about their husbands and I am continually reminded how blessed we are to have Michael.  He is an example of how to keep God, marriage, and children a priority.  I don't know of any other men who go to work 2 hours early so that they can come home early to spend time with their kids.  A true testimony of Michael's love.

Cason with Family

In all of the photos that we take, sadly, I do not have a picture of Cason with Uncle Heath and Aunt Jennifer!  It is probably because they are busy taking care of Cousin Kenzie while they were here and Mommy was not thinking.  We will definitely get one at Christmas!  Here is the rest of the family (plus Daddy).

Bike Time

The kids continue to enjoy riding their bikes. Cole finally got big enough to ride Kaylee's bike (not pictured) although it is an accident waiting to happen!

Cole's famous statement is "when I get older".  Anything that he knows he should do not, upon getting caught he says, "I do when I get older."

Christmas Cooking

Michael's parents came over on Friday.  With a little persuading from Kyra, I got all of my Christmas baking done!  We make up Christmas baskets for several neighbors and so this was a huge job to finish.  I am so thankful for the help and to know that this is finished.  Now we have the fun part of delivering!

Of course the kids got in on the action as well.  It was a great opportunity to remind them of the purpose of gift giving.  They wanted to eat everything we made but we discussed again that we are giving these things away.

Cason's First Bath

Last night Cason lost his cord so he was finally able to have a real bath. Kaylee wanted to help!

Kaylee assured Cason that he was going to be okay.

Cason enjoyed his bath.  No tears!
Kaylee did a great job bathing him.

All clean!!

Cason 2 1/2 Week Pictures

Here are some pictures that I got of Cason yesterday while the temps were so wonderful.  His Grandma made his hat.
