July 4th

(I love this picture!!!)  As has been the tradition for the past six or seven years, we spent Independence Day at Moss and Sammei’s. Moss grilled the best burgers (as always) and we enjoy the local fireworks in their front yard. Good company, good times. Nikki called Cole a “stinker” which he thought was absolutely hilarious. They kids stayed up way past their bedtimes but handled it very well. It was fun to watch the changes in Chad over the last few years. From being terrified to saying “that is awesome” has been a welcomed turn about. While there continues to be extreme apprehension, it is getting so much better.

The kids enjoy doing sparklers.  Unfortunately they were the really short ones so by the time you got them lit, they were about done.  No way could you have made it all of the way to the road and back across Grandma and Grandpa's front yard with these!
